“It was charming, unique and very British. The location was perfect and the staff was very friendly and accommodating. We felt like we were staying in someone's home, instead of in a generic chain hotel. The breakfast was great (included in our rate) and the library's all-day coffee/tea availability was very convenient and contributed to the warm atmosphere.”

“For me it was nice and quiet location (not so far at all from the Kensington Underground Station). Stuff was very nice and public space was very cozy. Rooms - well, you know it's London- there's no point to expect Scandinavian size rooms. It was big enough:)”

“The rooms are definitely old-school English but quite charming in their own way. They're probably MORE charming if you're not British though, perhaps having more novelty value for overseas tourists. Service was generally very pleasant. Staff are all young people from Eastern and Central Europe but that seems to be the norm these days in London and does add a nice cosmopolitan flair.Free internet! Yay! A refreshing change for "rip-off Britain"! (And yes, I am British)The food at the hotel Bistro was excellent and a really nice surprise.”
