“It's been 15 yrs since my last stay at Shilla. Was impressed at up-keep. Public spaces have up-to-date feel, but retain ellegance. Rooms have kept Korean design for interest, and have excellent facilities (bathrooms, work area, internet, etc) . "Dimmer-swtich" lighting allows setting a relaxing mood. Bed is large, firm and linens are soft and comfortable.”

“Not really a boutique neither a 'budget' hotel, the service is typical of a 5* hotel in the region. The views over Seoul are quite nice because its on a hill. This area of the city is relatively quiet.”

“Some of the best service I've had in Asia. Typically, service in Asia is either robotically protocoled or sloppy. The staff at the Shilla seem interested in making their service feel personal. They remembered our names throughout our stay, were always ready to offer up restaurant tips and hand you reservations, maps, and their favorite items from the menu before you even asked. They were excellent.”
